A face of modern Mormonism

This picture, by Elder and Sister Hauck at Meridian, is from the recent dedication of the temple in Aba, Nigeria.

Meridian always do nice photo essays, and I appreciate their efforts to show the colour of international Mormonism.

Facts about the Church in Nigeria (provided by the always useful cumorah.com):

Current LDS Membership Growth Rate: 13.63% (#20 out of 245 countries)
Current LDS Unit Growth Rate: 4.63%

We don't often get to see dresses like that in my Arizona ward. It's a shame too because it is gorgeous.

This picture reminds me that my kid brother is coming home from his mission in Zimbabwe in less than two months.

Hey, Geoff, you should get your brother blogging! A post on Zimbabwe would be just fascinating.

We had a guy come back from his mission in Zimbabwe...I don't want to relate the experiances I have heard recounted because it would smack of legend making. I will say that it is astonishing.
