No, it's a good day for America

I can pretty much gauge the reaction to Scootergate (Cheney aide resigns over CIA leak) on the "European street": Dirty, filthy, lying, corrupt Yanks. One commenter at the BBC says, "As an American, I am saddened by the state of our nation." Sorry, self-loathers and America-haters, this is a great day for America. These guys (Libby, Rove and others) have a massive amount of power. What it shows, therefore, is that America is still able to hold these autocrats to task. Kudos, Uncle Sam. And that's coming from someone who likes to see America squirm a little. Not this time.
