Funding Antiterror Initiatives

According to the New York Times (reg. required), Homeland Security is going to start giving out money "based less on politics and more on assessments of where terrorists are likely to strike and potentially cause the greatest damage." You know things are working well in our government when it takes them only four years to stop pork barrelling money for terrorism.

Also alarming is that fact that the DHS is "facing cuts in antiterrorism financing." Really? Is our Congress so hellbent on tax cuts coupled with spending cuts that now antiterrorism funding is on the block?!? I mean, slashing student loan money is one thing, but antiterrorism funding? Well, at least the mega-millionaires had their December to Remember!
